Week 2: Warhol Effect

I felt that applying this technique was a little challenging. I chose to convert a portrait of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo for this assignment. I noticed while following the steps in this procedure, the picture I chose had alot of detail making it difficult to fill specific areas with a certain color. For many areas I had to close off the section with the paintbrush tool prior to filling it. This the is the result of my efforts.

  1. Very dramatic, Danielle! Did you have trouble connecting lines in order to keep the colors where you wanted them? I had to do some freehand connecting and it seemed to take forever.

  3. Hi Katherine, I did have some trouble connecting the lines so that the color stayed where I wanted it. It became pretty frustrating at times, but it finally worked out.
